has anyone done this? because tomorow im gonna start my drifter project ripping everthing out, includding motor and tranny... and i was just wondering if anyone that has done this would kinda help me out and tell me step by step how to get my car ready for a 5 speed... thanks

are you saying you want to do a 5 speed swap!? cause i really did not understand a thing you said about the tranny part, if so, all you can do is use the search button, there's tons of information about doing it there that will guide you through step by step
yeah, i was talking bout the tranny swap... i plan on buying a 1jz front clip and using the r154 outta there... and i was just wondering if anyone had done it and would like to tell me what i should start off doing...
Have you tried searching to even see what's involved in a 1J swap? I might have pointed you in the right direction but I'm posting from my PSP. Use the search button. :stickpoke
actually yeah... i have pretty much all the info i need for a 1jz swap... ive took out motors and changed them and what not before on other vehicles, but ive never messed with a transmition besides checking and changing the fluid and filter... hahaha, so thats why i ask what to do for that...
So you bought a whole 1j front clip just for the tranny? Or are you swapping oover the motor too. Seems kind of pointless to buy an entire 1j clip and just swap the tranny. Maybe I just misunderstood though.
It wouldn't be hard at all. It's pretty much taking out your current engine/tranny and putting in the 1jz/r154. You'll just have to put in the clutch pedal, master cylinder, the brake pedal from the clip since the auto brake pedal is too big, clutch lines and what not. Fortunately the auto supra's have the hole already for the master cylinder. I'm pretty sure you'll want to upgrade your fuel pump as well.
