So I am going to do a tranny flush in the very near future, I want to use Redline Manual trans. fluid. Will I have any issues because my tranny has 160k miles on it? Will switching to a synthetic fluid make any thing worse?

I use redline in mine. I'm running 170K on mine and haven't had an issue.... except for getting that evil fill plug out. Also, make sure you fill with the proper amount if you end up filling through the shifter hole, the W58 requires alot less than a R154.

^ Yeah, I was gonna pull the fill plug first. I figured that if I already had the shifter out to replace bushings I might as well change the fluid too. As for the amount of fluid TSRM FTMFW!!!
Ninja Edit: Check the cyngus site or the TSRM BorHor. I'll try to look it up quick like for you.

Well, I was actually going to rent that space out, and failing that give praise to Jeff Lange. But yeah, that works... "When you're good, you're CRE" Except that when said out loud it make me sound like some sort of snobbish cheese spread.

I'm running MT90

^ Yeah, it was weird typing it. Y-O-U-R-E C-R-E, the last two letters of each word threw me off. As for the viscosity I will just use what the TSRM recomends. Oh, almost forgot. It's K-R-A-F-T not C-R-E. LOL.

Read the info on the redline oils, some have modifiers in them which I don't think are necessary. This has been gone over a few times and I think MT90's the one that's usually recommended.

Actually, looking at Redline's site, they recommend you use the 75w90 for diffs... they say it'll work in a tranny, but their other oils are recommended for better performance: http://www.redlineoil.com/products_gearlubricants.asp

And MT-90 IS a 75w90 weight BTW. http://www.redlineoil.com/products_gearlubricants.asp?productID=46&subCategoryID=17&categoryID=7

Mabey... I might do the tranny flush this weekend if the weather is dry, and if I get the bushings and source the Redline soon. Where did you obtain yours CRE?
