So pretty much I am getting a new car soon. I hate my current car more than anything in the world so I think its time to upgrade. Now I have been looking at everything mostly little fast cars like an Acura RSX Type-S. But my problem with those cars is that it is so generic. Oh look, another 20somthing year old in a fast little sporty car. Im tired of little cars so Im think about a bigger car. And I pretty much came to the conclusion that a 02-05 Toyota Camry V-6 is the best. My mom had an 03 V-6 and I loved that car. I know its a bit of an old person car but I like them with the spoiler and the lip kit from Toyota. Its not the fastest car in world but I don't want a racecar. And have found a few for a good price(10Kish) that are certified and will have a warranty.

So what are your opinions on a car like that. Thinks its a good idea?

That sounds like a good idea to me. Also, look at the newish Maxima's. Those are nice too.

Yea the Maxima are real nice but I would have to get it with the VQ and that's gunna cost more than I want to spend. But I do like the looks of them aside from the back end. Not a big fan of the trunk. The Altimas with the VQ are nice as well.

Actually now that you mention the Maxima I should check out the price of the Avalon. My parents had one of the as well and they rode like a dream.

you can get an 02-03 maxima for 10k now. my mom has an 02 and it's a really fun car.

The 03 is the best of both worlds. VQ35 and the good looking body. The 02-07 altimas are also nice, and the 2.5s isn't as much of a slouch as people make them out to be. You can still pull that civic, AND get 26mpg.

Its not really the fact that the 2.5 is a "bad motor" its that I wouldn't be happy knowing how good the VQ is. Nissan makes some strong motors. Plus something about that trunk on that car. It just looks weird to me.

Well I think I am going to go to the toyota dealer today and see what's up with the camry that I did find. If its a good car at a good price ill be trading in the P.O.S.(don't worry im not trading a supra) and finally getting nice car. And one thing the Camry has going for it is that it will come with a warranty and that is always a good thing. If its not the right car then ill take a look at the Altima/Maxima.

my parents bought a camry in 2004 and kept it for 4 months. in the four months they took it back to the dealership 5 times because of problems happening. they've always had camrys first was a 94 they had until 97 and got one in 97 they had until 2000 but they were totally unimpressed with that year. hopefully its gotten better though Lol i like just about all of the years except that 04 one

traded it towards and rx-8 which they in turn traded that towards an FJ cruiser which they turned in trade towards a 08 tundra :biglaugh:

My parents didn't have any problems with their 03 and that is part of the reason why I am really looking into this car. The only reason they got rid of it is because their lease was up and they wanted an HFP Accord.

sedate styling if you ask me...

hahah I know it is but im not going for sports car. I want a big family car type car. And if you look at its competion, I think it is one of the best looking. Its a hell of a lot better than the taurus, impala, 4door accord, ect.

Oh and savannahashlee the new 2door altimas are mid 20's with the V-6. If I had 25k I would have a problem finding a car. I would be in a C5 or GS430.

Also last night I did find a GS300 for 11990 at a diferent dealer that I might look at.

Well I check out the first camry and they wanted 15k.....so thats a no-go. Then i check out this other 02 camry with 116k but they only wanted 8k for it. So i go there and check it out and the drives side lock is broke, the inside door handles have cancer, the brakes are warped hardcore, it steers to the right, and a part of the interior of the trunk is falling. Now other than that the car looks solid. Paint only had a few minor rubs with one rock chip, the leather was in excellent condition, and the motor felt strong and sounded good. But anyways the dealer wanted 8k for the car. With all those miles and all those problems and they would only trade my Escort in for $1200. I was like WTF are you stupid. Then they proceeded to tell me that their dealer fee was $675. I was like WTFH. So after tax, tag, title, and dealer fee im basically trading my car to pay for that shit. The guy goes well...yea i guess. So I got my key back and took my papers and left.

So im still looking. Great.
