Tire Help

Does anyone know whats the biggest size of tire we can fit on the stock 225/50/16 sawblades . I need to whats the biggest size for the back and a good size in the front so that the tires dont rubb thanks.:aigo:

maybe a 255 but i think 245 is pushing it. i have 235's....not sure, just trying to help. someone will chime in

I've run two different sets of 245's, they fit, but i still need bigger.

I know a guy who runs 255s on stock width wheels. However they are Hoosier road race tires and likely have a decently stiff sidewall...

Ok so a 255/50/16 drag radial will fit on the sawblades or a 245/??/16

ive heard 245's, i had a set but i took them back cause the shop couldnt get them on. I replace with 225's and the same shit happened they couldnt get them on.I switch shops and the same shit happened again. :doh: But they got them on but everyone in the shop tried and it took them about two hours, for two tires.

Does anybody else have this issue when the get tires put on. They whole shop tries.You know its bad when they have to go the the old man from the back

245/50/16 thanks for the info Iam looking at the MIckey Thompson ET street drag radial for the Auto X If you guys know of any better tires for the Auto X let me know thank you

Why would you use a drag radial for racing side from drag? You obviously do not contain much knowledge about racing yet you want to do it. Whatever, go get some Hoosier A6 DOT radials.

I run goodyear F1's 245/50-16" all the way around and at the goodyear site the minimum rim size for that size tire is 7" which is what our stock sawblades are I believe. So to run 255's may be outside the limits. If you go to tirerack.com and read the Reviews people write about all the tires you'll get a far different point of view than you can here.
