sorry to post new thread but my keyword wording was not brining up any threads anywhere that would help me.

im here to ask you guys to post links to any threads that you might know of to help me figure out my timing.

before removal i marked pulleys and belt in 3 seperate areas just to play it safe. .now after re-installing (all marks line up) after the 2 full rotations the marks are out of place . . so im looking for any thread that might help me out or any info that anyone could provide with me . .

after turning clockwise and being out of sync i did always go back and turn counterclockwise back to my starting point!

any and all info would be of help . .thank you all

You sure that you're not off by a tooth on any of the gears? I know the first time I put my build back together I had the same problem and it ended up being a tooth off from the crank/oil pump pulley to the intake cam pulley. I'd start by double (or triple) checking that. If the belt is on properly there's no reason why they shouldn't keep lining up for you :)

Are you sure there no thread for this? They have witness marks for both the gear and the timing cover, line up the marks. Get the number one piston to T.D.C. and get the harmonic balancer to zero degres. Check your disributor or C.P.S. make sure they are right.
four cyle engine: four turns not two. ( I could be wrong, although I don't think so)
