Timing Jump?

my timing is jumping so whats that mean?do i need to replace the timing belt or i need a new timing belt tensioner? need help guys becuase i need to smog my car.

nope and nope

timing is a fucntion of a couple of things. See jetjocks post off timing in the ECU subsection. Usuallly the jumping around is FINE as TSRM states 10 degree + - 2 degrees.

okai then what was the cause of my belt to slip and rub eating up my belt?

That's a bit different than timing jumping around

It's likely the tensioner is bad or should have been adjusted before the belt jumped a tooth...it's in the TRSM. Since you're gonna replace the belt, get a Toyota or Greddy belt.

the timing belt could be stretched due to age, tensioner could be bad, OR your timing gear keyway is starting to go bad, and its slipping, making the belt jump teeth...

also i have another question can you still drive if the timing jump? does it do any internal damage and any damage to the cat.?
