First of all peeps, I have a mk2 with 7mgte installed.I have decided to put up a thread, I know there are more threads just like this but this shit is driving me crazy. I am getting my self ready to start collecting parts to upgrade my 7mgte. In the meantime I will enjoy my 11psi Ct-26. BUT that will go away at some point. Now my HP goals are in the 450-500hp range. I do not really want to go with an upgraded ct-26 cause I might get psychotic with this one day. I have narrowed it down to a few options. I have had people say go T61, some say T04e, some say Boss bolt-on, some say SP61gt bolt-on, and someone today said go precision 6262
. My original and favorite plan was to go with a T4 flanged tubular turbo manifold and a Gt4082, but realized that it would be somewhat laggy with my HP goals. My motor has and will have a MHG and ARP head studs. I also plan on rebuilding the 7m block (pistons, rod and main bearings, etc. etc.) I will dip the head in the hot tank and replace the valve seals. Will also replace all old hoses and seals on the motor and will be using some type of fuel management (undecided at this point) First I will gather my Turbo shit... SO....
Option#1
Raptor Racing Turbo Manifold with a Garrett T04e 60 trim compressor wheel, .60 A/R compressor housing, .63 turbine housing, 4 bolt standard turbine discharge. It will of course have to have a Divided T4 flange which will adapt to the raptor racing manifold. The Tubular from what I am told will cause a little bit of lag due to more space for the exhaust gas to fill but This is what I want. It will have a 44mm Tial external WG which is what flange the manifold has. I will run the boost as high as prob 18-20 psi
I have predicted this set-up to be around $1850-$1900

SP61gt Turbo bolt-on kit ( I would pay the extra for oil lines and a polished and coated turbo). All it says about this kit is that is comes in 61 or 67 mm compressor wheels and that it will dyno 490hp at 18psi (18 sounds nice doesn't it) This kit comes to $1500
Now this is up for opinions and discussion because it is driving me crazy trying to decide. 9 times out of 10 I am going with option #1 Please don't make any discouraging remarks if that's all you have, thanks.
