Thread type on 2jzge coolent sensors

Hey guys,

Any of you know what type of thread is used on the 2jzge water temp sensors. (They are the same on the 7mgte)

I need a thread adapter for my after market temp gauge.

I would also like to know. is it the same as 1jz? i need to put my autometer water temp sensor. As far as i know toyota commonly uses 16mm thread. but i'm not 100% sure.

I e-mailed Aaron @ DM and he thinks its a 3/8" npt, but hes not for sure.

I ordered a fitting, so once it comes in i'll post up if it is the correct size.

Thats funny. i also called him about this. but its for sure 100% not 3/8. at least not on my 1jz. I got 3/8 adapter with my sender and its too big. the stock thread is just a little smaller than 3/8.

1JZ and 2JZ ECU sensors ARE the same size
1JZ and 2JZ gauge sensors are NOT the same size.
