thermostat housing what is this sensor for?

The three sensor housing on the gte motors, what is the bottom sensor for? My connector's wire got fubarred and came off, can this be purchased from toyota? Or is this something that only comes with the whole harness? Thanks, Bob

isnt that the temp sender for guage? or is that the other one... try rewiring it :)

Either the A/C cutoff temp switch or the electric fans kick-on switch. I can't remember just sitting here, but there is a thread with pics here somewhere...

I know on the na that the sensor on the top is for the gauge and the sensor on the bottom is the temperature that is sent to the ecu. I'm not sure if its the same on the gte but I'm pretty sure it is.When I broke mine on my car the one from the dealership was going to cost around $140, but I found one for cheap. Some one correct me if I'm wrong.
