I was getting gas in cape when low and behold do I spy a silver mk4 at the station, so I pulled up to the pump next to it, it was silver, with the euro hood scoop, a visible large intercooler under the front bumper, stock body, limo tinted windows and Texas liscense plates. Very odd to say that least in southeast Missouri. When the dude came out he was cool, unlike most mk4 noobs, he also owns a 4runner and a 91 1jz mk3 according to him. I asked him what it ran and he said 10.1@159, I was like ummm ok cuz it looked bpu FMIC nad exhaust ya know, other than that it looked stock except the volk 19x10.5 rear and 18x9.5 front. Hes like ok well check out the engine, he pops the hood and it was chromed out the ass, Single turbo, didn't say what kind and I couldn't tell but it looked about same size as a greddy t-88, GReddy FMIC, he had a aftermarket larger throttlebody and Intake manifold, custom exhaust manifold, 4 1/2 inch turbo back exhaust, and said he had a street ported head, with HKS cams, oversize valves, and venom cam gears, along with a laundry list of other goodies. I was like thats badass, so we talked a bit and she said he had to head back to the interstate, he had stopped for gas and food he came from stl and was returning home to dallas. He also had HIDs and it was a 97 6 speed with rear seat delete, stripped rear area and a roll bar in back.
On the way out i followed him to hear his turbo and see it go a lil, well I was behind him at a light and the local TA noob shows up and gets next to him, then the TA revs at him, this TA has exhaust, intake, headers, ecu mods, and a 75shot of wet nitrous, its also a WS6 6 speed for those of us who care. Well this was the wrong mk4 to rev on he must have thought like I did at first, that it was BPU. Light goes green and amazingly the supra only spins thru first then chirps 2nd thru 4th, the TA was left in the dust, I couldn't count the cars and when I got to the next light the TA turned off in disgrace, I now believe he runs a 10.1 after that and oh yea, you could hear that turbo and the exhaust would hurt the ears of a def person. FREAKING SWEET. Oh yea and when i looked in his hatch he had 3 large bags of luggage from his trip and no nitrous or any of that BS 25psi on pump gas lol badass MK4.
This may seem normal to see for some but around cape this is like seeing sasquatch, a UFO, or a Hot girl whos also nice. LOL it rocked ass and the fact that he wasn't a dueche was cool too.
