The dreaded goo

Hey I Have gotten the goo twice now . No smoke what so ever . All oil lines clear . Valve covers off and no goo in sight. Newer 1.5mm Greddy hg . Arps to 75 . Oil line from block to intake cover cracked to shit .Valve cover gaskets 50/50 good . Was spraying WD40 around top end looking for a suspect boost leak .

Can moisture enter engine any other way and make the goo?

My current plan of attack is to turn boost down to stock , Arps to 90 . Replace oil line and Valve Cover Gaskets. Any other Ideas. Other the the Obivious ones IE Go 1j .....lol

i tihnk that by "dreaded goo" he mean's ,bhg goo. you know the creamy caramel colored goo you get from mixing coolant and oil:cry:

haha i think we all know that goo well. damn my supra blew a hg fixed that and then the damn civic run around blew its hg but maybe the hg was installed wrong? or the head wasnt machined

"goo" on the oil cap is ok.... to an extent. If you drive your car short distances all the time, The oil never reaches operating temp. And one of the bi products of cumbustion is H2O.. water) when it blows by the rings the water vapor mixes with the oil, and creates the "goo" now... if you pull the dipstick and see the milkshake the whole way up the stick, then you gotta problem. Best way to check for BHG in my mind, Is get a block tester kit. Comes with soulution, and a tube. Put solution in tube, place tube in radiator opening. Run vaccum line from FPR to the tube. and start engine. If the fluid changes from blue to green, it means you have hydrocarbons in your antifreeze. HC is also a bi product of combustion. And HC in your antifreeze means that your combustion gasses are leaking into the coolant jacket from a BHG. So yea, hope that helps. You can get the block kits at most parts stores... avg retail is around $50 but well worth it, as one kit will test about 10 cars or 10 times on the same car. Let us know what you find

Thanks Veedub pretty much what I have been doing I had rod knock last year and swapped that motor over the winter . I have been just letting it run long enought to keep the battery charged and to work on all the things that where never done the first time it was swapped in 06 . So I just let it run for an hour and got nothing Oil stick is fine the opil is still honey colored . Now I am just have an issue with it bucking when attempt to drive it . Idels just fine just when I attempt to drive it . It starts to buck . IDK I think every thing is squared away . No codes either ????
