I have run into nothing but adversity during my GM TH-350 swap, from burnt cooler lines, shifter malfunctions, flexplate failures, and now converter failures. My converter troubles have lead me down a very expensive road that has left my car immobile for the last 6 months, and im about to purchase the same converter that Shawn Cassady uses. My dilema is, should i go through with the purchase, or should i build a custom flexplate that allows for the adaptation of a typical SBC performance converter? I have only put minimal thought into the idea and have not mapped out materials or their costs, or construction.
