it's dumb as it's always a caged turboed mustang that's barely a street car that wins...
the bracket style racing is gay...

That's fine and all but I'd figure that it would be fun to bracket race with some nicer domestic cars as long as you don't bust out. I think the 12.5 class would be fun. And the last time I went there were a lot of nice people and cars out there with a lot of power and had a great time.

LOL..Street car can be looked at different ways. People call a car that runs 7's and has not interior, no heater, radiator, alt, and I get tired of hearing it.

A street car should have all of the above IMO and plus be able to drive on a street for a cruise and not just to a local hangout. (an all day cruise)

It does sound fun to watch though.

yeah, they actually do a "cruise" but it's nothing like what's really required...

I'm hoping some of the big guys with new cages in their MKIV's show up and school em...

that was the limiting factor last year IIRC...

there should be tests, rev the car to 2000rpm for 2 minuties to make sure it has a cooling system that is actually functional, car must weigh within 200lbs as it does stock, no trailers allowed, interior noise level testing, mufflers and tires of course and be able to idle on its own for 2 minuites.

the main issue is getting as fast as you can...but you still have to pass tech for that speed...

so basicly the guy that takes his race car and makes it BARELY drivable on a cruise and barely pass inspection (this is the dumb part, as most of them come from counties without sniffer tests, so the other get shafted). They allow open exhaust too, which isn't street legal...

sounded like a cool idea until I saw the lineup that went at it last year, it was retarded...
