TEMS not functioning

2 days ago my TEMS went out completely. I am currently in Spokane and i believe half way driving across Washington the unit went out. All that happens now is the last light turns on once when you turn on the car. It never appears again. Anyone have any answers? I believe it is stuck on hard or a very firm setting. It is pretty uncomfortable. Spokane has some of the very worse roads in the world. Thanks!

Did you run diagnostic mode?

You can also check fnuction by stepping on the brake or the accelerator to the floor.

i've never noticed a difference with the TEMS.

And you also think the 1JZ is an upgrade. It is quite noticable from one setting to the others with TEMS.

Your point about performance is valid. There are better handling shocks.

Yes, i have used it for 6 years now. It definately is totally not working. Yes you can totally tell if you have newer shocks. With the targa off, it makes all the difference. otherwise the car wobbles too much.

Anyways, i have never had to do a diagnosis mode. How do you do it?

just pull the tems off and set the shocks for hard. The car will ride so much better.

I usually like normal for around town. Hard is too stiff for my roads. We have ruts from hell!!! I think it is in hard right now, and it is horrible.

I believe the computer went out. Which is weird, but it is my only idea right now.

strange. I would just set it on medium and call it a day. Then when you have a few dollars, thow on some bilstiens and profit! :icon_razz

Your roads can't be an worse then mine where i live there are still roads made of dirt and most roads don't have lines...at all and don't get me started on the pot holes that could swallow small children lol and and i still like the car set to hard lol
