I was just curious, now i want people to come out serious on this one, dont be shy. Has anyone tried just boosting the shit out of their car the day they get their boost controller? I'm talking trying to boost it at 15 or so with a pretty much stock set up? That would be quite a story.

I'm at the point where im gonna put a boost controller, new IC and hardpipes by christmas time, just looking what NOT to do. :icon_bigg I am the type of person that needs to stick a pin inside the cut to see how much it will hurt. I really shouldnt be around powerful cars.

At close to stock, the car will never make it to 15psi because it will probably hit fuel cut very quickly. And, as has been mentioned, fuel cut is annoying as hell and not something that should be sought after.

I'm close to stock (intake, exhaust) and am hitting fuel cut just from boost creep; it's creeping from the stock 6psi to 10psi in the higher RPMs. Hopefully the Walbro pump (on order) will help lean it out enough to prevent fuel cut.

not going to up my boost at all actually, esp on my stock turbo.

go for it man best to learn from experience

i have a suspicion what most people describe as fuel cut is too much boost not enough fuel. a "studdering" sound at high boost... bad for your engine.. means either your injectors cant spit out enough fuel or they can its just your pump isnt pumping enough fuel... (my experience is mainly from 4 cyl. cars MR-2, Hondas, mitsubishi, subaru, other toyota 4 cyl.)

fuel management first it helps. so does tuning =) stock turbo wont live long too...
