sorry if someone already has a thread about this but im at work at dont really get too much time to search everything.

I was just wondering if anyone here has the TEIN suspension with the EDFC setup and just like to hear some pros and cons about it. Im looking into it but would like to hear some personal experiences. thanks!!

I installed it myself, and it's pretty cool. Using the Tein SS coilovers I found the spring rates too stiff for my liking, so using the EDFC my choices were either stiff, or very stiff. I've since installed a new set of lower spring rate Tein Flex, but haven't driven the car yet. I think I will be happy since the EDCF will let me choose a soft rate for cruising and just the right stiffness for spirited street driving. Plus the softest setting should make launching easier on the drag strip, and I don't have to gut the rear interior of my car to adjust the shocks :) Worth the $!

nice, very good input tekdeus!! I appreciate it. how long was the installation time and what would you rate the difficulty of the installation?

Around 2-4 hours, once the rear interior is out. Difficulty would be average-medium. I had to drill a new hole in the firewall to get the thick plugs/wires through(not easy). The install procedure for the motors is somewhat complicated, involving a precise number of turns and little parts and screws, but as long as you're patient, it's not bad.

I ran my wires through the grommets on the passenger and driver side fender well. I didn't have to drill any holes and the wiring is completely concealed (well, other than the EDFC motors to the fender). I give installation difficulty a 5 out of 10. As long as you follow the edfc installation instructions, you'll be okay. I love the EDFC system - change damping on the fly whenever your mood or the road demands. EDFC doesn't automatically adjust like TEMS, but it is a much higher performing coilover system compared to stock. It is worth the cost considering you've already invested in one of the compatible Tein coilover kits. I give it two thumbs up....

excellent!! so what i am getting out of the responses is, as long as im patient and follow the directions with some slight mods, if it calls for it, then i should be ok. thanks for the input guys!
