Hey, My friend bought a supra that is originally a NA model, but it came in with a 7MGTE swap. It was running the other day. Until, smog time, He did an oil change and cleaned the MAFsensor( didnt know what he was doing). Welp now his car is shooting some engine problem.

Engine Stalls at Idle
Pulled 2 codes
CODE 31= For Air flow Meter
CODE 34= Turbo pressure sensor

after he did an oil change and started up the car. A friend and me saw some electrical spark. What i think is that, He probably messed up the MAFs When he cleaned it. MAFs wire are maybe shorted. Turbo Pipings Leakage somewhere.

Anyone know how this problem can be solved?

Find another Maf, and try it. First unplug the efi fuse with key on for a min. or two to reset for codes. The afm's are delicate, and shouldn't be touched if it can possibly be helped.

A MAF can be cleaned. They are hot wire mass air flow sensors that can account for things our KV meter can not. And yes, the LED and "mirror", are ruined by spraying something on them.
