Hi Guys,

Tried searching - no luck:-(

Anyone ever try this: I shut the car of and remove the key and the rear/tail lights stays on? Ónly way to stop it from draining the battery is to remove the +- led.

Any help would be great.

Thanks
Marlon

Is it the tail lights all-together, or just the brake lights?

Brake light switch is at the brake pedal and has a small rubber grommet that pushes on the switch. Sometimes it's a bad switch, but most times the grommet falls apart and just needs to be replaced to push on the switch again.

I tried installing a replacement grommet and had no luck. Instead, I glued a penny in it's place using Elmer's glue. Easiest, cheapest fix on my Supra (2 different ones).

If the whole taillight assembly stays on, then I would also guess the taillight failure relay/sensor.

Thats what happened to mine. I ended up buying a used automatic brake pedal for the wax plastic thing.

This exact thing happened to me with my 89. It was just the failure box, I just bypassed it and it worked great.
