I can find out about the adapter plate, I had a machinist friend of mine cnc that out for me, and we traded a sheetmetal intake for the adapter. I beefed the bellhousing a little as I heard it was prone to tearing under a good amount of tq, and I welded to the side of the tranny to fit up the slave cylinder so I could retain the stock stylepull slave setup. A person could use the stock type of slave that gm used, the internal unit, I opted to stay external. I used a Honda civic pilot bearing and from there, it bolted right up.

Heres a vid I made yesterday for Volvo guys, it was a vid or ban! Nevermind the lifters, there noisy, just not as noisy as the video makes it sound.

Thanks, its a blast to drive around. With the 8.8 and short tq arm/adjustable trailing arm suspension, the car has a good amount of antisquat. I had a set of injectors go bad on the Dyno, so some new ones are on there way. In a few weeks, Ill have more dyno time and be able to see just what this motor will put out.

thats a very cool swap and Ive always thought about doing something like this. What are the chances that your guy would want to make some money and make an adapter plate for my 1J?

My guy is waiting on some material cost for the slide tube if the end user wants a pull style setup like i went, but the cnc adapter plate milled from 5/8 6061 he wanting 300.00 for the adapter and shipping out of canada, which isnt to much more than in the states.

I may be interested when I do my jz swap. If it can take more beating then the r154 im down :) Would this go good with the mk3 diff. and axles? The 3.73 gear is what I have and plan to keep ,can't find any lower gear than that for the mk3 that is available right now lol. My goal is 700-800whp 600-700wtq max. Thanks

When I setup the clutch, I mocked up with a 1jz turbo clutch, and it worked with the 2jz exedy triple I bought. I havnt heard back from RogerDee yet. Ill shoot him an email. Its possible to use a push style pressure plate and run the GM internal slave as well, and no external mod will be necesary.

You have the same goals I have, 800whp with no more than 700wtq.

You can get a T56 with a 2.97 first gear, and have it built with what ever OD you want. I can post a pic of the gears avaible.

m regearing mine from a 4.30 to a 3.90 gear but my box has the 2.66 first.

I stepped up a bit so I didnt have to open it back up.

tranny, 2500 shipped (rebuilt with 900wtq warranty)
adapter 200 (traded for labor and materials on a header build, 200 cost)
clutch for and pivot stuff 100
triple disc 2000
slave and material for mod 100
forged 31 spline output shaft 150.
40 in gm fluid

Thats 5100 for the swap. take the clutch off so 3100, most will have a flywheel so add the 600 or so for a heavy single, and its 3700 for a 6 speed. Im seeing with the tq of the inline 6, I can regear from 4.30 to a 4.10 diff and still have good tq for taking off from a stop. And you guys have a 4.10 diff avaible, or run the 2.97 box and keep the 3.73 gear setup.

I called Exedy direct. They sent me a Triple pull style for stock 2jz setup, with discs made for the GTR. The spline count is the same, just called out in metric for the GTR.

If you write about T56 Magnum:
You need to have the clutch for JZ engine (I mean crankshaft and starter compatible) with clutch discs inside for NISMO 26 splines transmission cam.
You can order OS Gicken or other clutch with this specs.
