Ok i have a 87 Na auto at the moment. I have a turbo kit on the way when ever my dude can get down to where i live and deliver it to me. It has everything i need except for the oil cooler. So lets say i have this other guy who has a T4 flanged Precision 61mm turbo, .68 a/r hotside for fast spool, 70 a/r compressor housing P- Trim. He said he would let me get it for about 150-200. Would you guys suggest picking this up? Is it to much of an upgrade right now, after i get the turbo kit on of course? Im waiting on the turbo kit to get here then im also going to get a lexus afm and 550cc injectors. So would the turbo be to much for this? should i get it and slap it on? or get it and wait till i have more upgrades? or just not get it at all? I have no clue im a newb, but i would grealt appreciate some help on this matter. Thanks guys!

Isnt there some kind of flange i have to get so that it will fit on the stock manifold until i upgade it?

Im still a little bit of a turbo newb... but if you have a N/A you need a whole new manifold if im not mistaken.

This 'turbo kit' you are getting, is it all stock components? The vast majority of aftermarket manifolds are T4 flanged, that's why we need to know :)

yeah i will be getting a stock manifold. I thought there was some kind of bracket i could buy to make it fit the stock one. But it wold probably just be better to buy one of the manifolds off of ebay huh? I think that is what i will do. So if its a t4 turbo flanged then any manifold that will fit our car that says t4 manifold will work correct?

You can make a CT to T4 riser and this is probably the cheapest route.

Or you could pick up one of the Ebay mani's. Many people say good things about them, but you will probably need a riser with this too, as most say the turbo will not clear the #1 runner on our cars.

You will need to get a downpipe made for both applications, and does the new turbo have an internal wastegate?

Going the stock setup will probably be cheaper; However you can buy after market Ebay manis and 60-1 T04 based turbos, and build your own system. This will afford a somewhat relatively easier future upgrade path. But cost a bit more in the begining. I know cheap stock parts can be foud for sure. Just get a rebuilt turbo or a Supra Sport basic 800.00 turbo new is the best route. Who wants an old used about to die turbo
