So I have an 89 turbo shell in great condition, and and 87 turbo in bad body shape, but good engine. Do I just need the 89-92 mounts, and can I use the wiring and ecu? I know there are a few differences like rev limit and such, but will I be fine? I eventually plan on using my 89 block and vrank in the rebuild later on in the year, but will I be okay with 89 electronics running an 87 engine?

After searching heavily, I've found a few threads that confirm that I can use the wiring and everything on the 89. However I also need to use sensors for the 89 year, in case the plugs are different, am I correct?

Just find yourself an 89 harness. Ecu just has to be gray plug, meaning an 89+ ecu. I ordered a jdm engine for my 89 and it came with yellow plugs meant it was from a pre 89. All I did was bought an 89 harness and an ecu from a 90 and I was good to go. Hope that helps some

Also, what about the tps? 89-92 has a different TPS right? Do I have to change that as well?

And as for the motor mounts, I just need the 89-92 mounts, correct?
