Well, my dream is finally coming true. The Supra is going to the mechanic. I have a couple questions to ask before the car goes under the knife.
When my car is under boost and I park it to shut off, I get smoke or steam shooting our from the turbo side. It looks like it may be coming from the manifold or something. From what I can remember, it doesnt smell and its not coloured. Picture a kettle that has boiling water in it. It steams out the kettle hole just like that in my Supra.
The car has sat for around 6 months without movement. Here is a list of what is being fixed and what parts I am having the mechanic install.
Replace CT-26 with Rebuilt one.
Fix the Power Steering leak
Add new Amsoil Motor Oil and Gear/Diff Oil
Autolite 3923 Spark Plugs (.32 gap)
NGK Spark Plug Wires
Replace Timing belt and Tensioner
Fill up with fresh 94 octane
I bought a brand new Optima Red Top battery a little while ago and I cant seem to start the car with it. It always has to be jump started. Is my alternator bad?
What else can you recommend to me that I should do for regular maintenance?
