look at me; I graduated highschool w/ a 1.3 accumulated GPA, and 4 tickets/1 arrest for reckless driving under my belt. mom cut me off in junior year after my first ticket, and my senior year GPA was actuall around 2.7, but I was shit for the first three years of HS.
over the summer, I got fired from my $8/hr job as a shop bitch due to lack of performance which was due to sever insomnia(less that 30min./night of sleep)
took out a stafford loan fall qtr, and began doing work study getting $9/hr delivering mail and computers and shit around the campus on a golfkart.
end of winter qtr, reckless driving punishment goes into effect, and I lose my license for 30 days, in order to get it back, I have to show proof of SR22 insurance form.(=SHIT-TON-O-MONEY)
decide to say "fuck it" and not drive for a couple years, while my record cools off.
meet a variety of hella cute foreign girls on the bus. have a LOT of fun.
currently selling my car, to buy another to build for track use, getting a full time job at boeing assembling the 787 dreamliner for $15/hr. studying japanese, when done with that, moving to japan to go to school to teach english, uhhh acc. GPA for college = 3.85... OH and all of my loans are paid off, and I'm working in positive numbers now financially..
so yeah, force financial strife upon your children, and you will almost certainly see improvement.
its fun to watch, too.(I suggested it to my best friends parents, and he's grown up drastically in the past few months as well.)
