strange noises

I have a 1996 SC2 saturn coupe and it has a thumping noise coming from the front wheels as they turn. The noise increases in frequency the faster the wheels turn, i believe that it might be a bad CV joint, how could i test to see if this is the problem, and what other issues could cuase this thumping.

Well to test to see if you have a CV joint going bad. Visually inspect the rubber boots for the CV joints to see if they are torn or broken. Then drive around a parking lot or around corners and listen for a thumping noise . I'd say the odds are good that you have a bad CV joint.

thanks alot, that is what i was thinking, i have drove around and the noise continues, i am going to replace it anyhow and see what happens, then ill get back with the results, thank you
