Stock Head bolt size- Quick Answer please

What size tool do i need to take the stock head bolts out?
searched didnt quite find it.
in the book it says special tool SST 09043-38100 (or its equivalent)

for ur info, if ur putting in arp bolts get a 1/2 12 point socket. 3/8" drive.

10mm allen socket, 3/8" drive, about 4-6" long, from Sears, tool truck, or good auto parts store.

its actually a 12mm 12 point for arp bolts and a 14mm 12 point for arp studs

ok well im taking out the stock bolts from my JSM motor i got. i got a 10mm hex bolt thingy from sears. i have a cometic and arp studs to put in. easy smeasy. hahaha.

its actually a 12mm 12 point for arp bolts and a 14mm 12 point for arp studs

go get a arp bolt and put a 12mm on it. theres so much play on it. given u prolly wont strip it, but im sure u could. 1/2 is the proper size. try it for urself. i just did this about 2 weeks ago.
