Stock boost gauge reading below zero most of the time

It reads -4 most of the time, then jumps up to 4-6psi when revving? Shouldn't the gauge be reading 0 at idle? Probably just a crappy oem gauge..

it's supposed to do that since your pulling a vacuum at idle.

If it's at zero, the engine isn't running or the sensor is disconnected.

And you shouldn't get boost from free-reving...

boost gauge is crap....it was just responding so wildly and reading funny I didn't know for sure. new gauge being ordered...now where to mount it???

Stock gauge is fine, it's just dampened and doens't read high enough for all of us (both are easily fixed with mods)

just get an aftermarket gauge and a pillar pod, the stock gauge is USELESS, you can also remove it and put an aftermarket one in the same place.

Stock gauge operates EXACTLY like an aftermarket electronic gauge. You can increase it's range easily, and you can also remove the electronics that dampen the motion (it will respond as quick as any other aftermarket electronic gauge).
