I have a 77 celica with a 7mge. I got the exhaust done today, when I push on the gas it wants to die it seems like it is not getting enough gas. I took off the stock fuel filter and put in an in-line filter. The filter stays full of gas.

timing? when we rebuilt my friends motor it was WAY out of time and would idle and then stall out, if you would press the throttle, with half of an exhaust;] Then i noticed timing was out.
It was running fine before I got the exhast and when I first left the muffler shop. It started starving about a block from my house. I do need to check the timming.
Did you stay there with the car while they did the work, or did you drop it off and pick it up when they finished?
I dopped it off. When He went to pull it in the shop my battery died so we pushed it in. I showed up before they finished.
