i have an 87 7mgte supra with 86k org miles and recently it wont start right away randomly (mostly in when its cold) and when i say not right away what i really mean is at least 1min of solid cranking. then when it does start it shakes and kicks. you have to stomp on it to get it to clear its thought i suppose. then it comes back to idol runs fine no shakes no kicks. You get a real strong either coolant or fuel smell. it does go threw coolant but i tracked it down to a line. its got a new hks mhg about 7k miles ago with apr head bolts. Then i replaced the fuel filter witch did eliminated the stuttered exhilaration. and still have the same issue and its getting worse and worse im afraid i wont be able to drive my baby anymore plz help if u can and oh yeah no codes are coming up thx

well doesn't matter much now i cooked my starter trying to get that thing going. So out comes the car cover till tax refund time or something. I might just break down sell it save up and buy a nicer one. But I've had a taste of heaven so why go back....rwd 5speed turbo with a removable top whats better than that....a car that runs i suppose lol

If you are mechanically inclined you can disassemble that starter if it is in good shape inside you just need to buy the brush you probably worn those of you can get them at stealership for under $50. Unless is the solenoid the died.
