The only thing that lights up on the dash is the door ajar light but the dome light works and the lights on the door. Now my turbo timer flicks on then goes right back off when I turn the key tooo. do the idiot light come on when the key is in the on position then shut off when you try to start?

prolly not getting a good connection at the battery. i had this everything was tight and clean but as soon as i would touch/push in a certain way it came back. i bought a new pos clamp from toyota and cleaned and tightens everything better problem solved.

the idiot lights like the brakes light, batt light, check engine light, door open light, basically all the lights that come one when the key is in the on position but has not been started.

Batt good jus took off batt charger will check alt tmrrw hoping that might be it but would that keep my interior lights radio ect from coming on? Never seen a alt. stop those from coming on in the acc position with a good batt.

I'll be doin more troubleshootin 2mrrw but looked over most connections under the hood all the way down to the starter and they seemed fine but this is at night with a drop light in the garage so I'll see what it look like 2mrrw in the daylight. I'm thinkin its fuses and relays is where my problem lies too Heavy D so that's where I probably end. but might as well give everything a once over while I'm troubleshootin nice days ahead in the near future so less I'll have to do the more I get to drive. And Thanks Hvyman I'll update and tell ya'll what I find and possibly why it happened other than it being a 20 yr old car. Lol jus noticed both replies to this thread name start wit Heavy

Aight I changed the batt post terminals still nothing. Traced wires down no breaks thought maybe field mice had lunch on my wires but nope they justed left shit trails here and there. Damn horses and stables but back to the supra checked all fuses non blown so I'm thinkin its the starter solenoid

wack it a few times with a hammer and see if it starts. the smaller part on the starter that is. if it does get a new one as it will freeze on you again.

also if you have a volt meter you could check for 12v in the pos bat cables and the wires to the battery.

After more testing and research I think it the open circuit relay called my guy from toyota and he gave me all the years and models that use the same relay will be hitting junkyard tmrrw to find one don't won't to fork over anymore funds for new parts without knowing if its the problem

No the starter works I'm talking about the relays now, ruled out batt/terminals, all fuses, all wires/volts going to and from starter, the starter itself and the starter relay and ignition switch. Still not getting power
