I have a 1991 Supra turbo Auto trany. I need to know if the solenoid wire that is black with a blue stripe is the power to the starter? Also is there a ground that si connected tot he side of the started on the left side of it, and what ground is it that hooks up there, b/c right now I don't see any, I have to grounds, one that goes from near the brakes lines, before it goes tot he rear of the car, but people say that goes to the bell housing, and a brown and white wires that go on the intake manifold, that are tranny grounds? Please help , I want to finish the car.

there's the power wire from the battery that goes to the starter (the thick wire), then the trigger wire which connects to a spade connector on the top of the starter. The ground is done through the motor.

True...the battery wire is Blue in my TEWD. I thought he was talking about the wire to the solenoid.
So, yes there are 2 wires...the Blue battery wire is pretty thick too.

I can't find the trigger wire... and JDUB just said, there is only one that goes to the starter.

there's technically two cables/wires/leads that go to the starter. One bigass thick one, that goes to the stud on the starter, and is the main power. That goes to the battery.

The other is the solenoid. its one single wire with a rectangular connector.it should be hanging down from between the intake plenum runners.

One more time...there is no ground wire to the starter. The starter grounds to the block.

According to the TEWD:
The wire from the battery is blue...it is thick (8 GA?) and attaches to the starter stud.
The wire to the solenoid is black with a blue stripe and has a connector.

If someone replaced theses wires with different colors, all bets are off.
