I was with my friends coming from the beach. We were on the freeway and we see this c5 vette. But he didnt want to race then we see what we thought was a 02-04 saleen stang. But it really was a GT with the body kit then he was trying to pass us but I didnt let him. Then we drive around 1 mile or 2 more then I turn my emergency lights on to signal to go he was ahead of me. Then I get next to him then we gun it. At first he was at my bumper but when I got to 4th gear ate that stang alive By 5th gear around 125 I had no more visual on him.

Definately not a Saleen, but you knew this already. I saw a Saleen in Sumiton today and he goes to the college about two minutes from my house. I'm going to see if I can get him to race me one day if I see him out. I know he will hand me my ass, but it will be the only time a mustang has ever outran me. I read somewhere I think that they had like 500rwhp. This one was white with white wheels and it sounded mean as hell.
Regular mustang GT's are slow slow slow slow slow slow. You should open up your exhaust if you haven't already and you shouldn't have to wait until fifth gear to own them. I also wouldn't race to 125 if I could help it. I like to have them killed by about 80 in case I get spotted by the law dog.

i had to do a used car check on an o4 4.6 stang 5 spd with 9k miles...i was excited at first till i drove it..it has decent low end torque but thats where it ends...needless to say i was dissapointed.they do handle better than i thought they would though
