Ok so i have a 89 supra turbo auto and i was coming home today and all of a sudden it just quit running. It happened at about 20 mph coming to a stop. It has done this one other time but i didn't think it was a big deal but now that it has happened again i am worried. Also i have been hitting fuel cut the pass 3 day because it is colder out and i just put on a DP. could this have anything to do with it? idk thanks!!!!

well i have had the car for like 5 months. why? i have tired to get rid of code 52 but it just will not happen. 34 is being caused by FC right?
Yes, 34 is abnormal turbocharger pressure. An intake leak can cause it. A big intake leak can cause a stall when out of boost.
does it stall out in the same concept as when you don't recirculate your BOV and metered air gets let out without the car knowing therefore it richens a lot and causes it to stall?Nick M said:
My car does this... but its because of HKS SSQV not being recirculated. Probably a leak in the air system somewhere.. It would have to be a HUGE one though.
ok but is that still ture if my stock boost gauge which i know is not very good reads past 8 psi. but you are right it only does it when i floor it real quick then let off but before boost hits.
idk if there is an air leak i will look around tomorrow. i just installed the bosch saab type recirculating bov maybe that as something to do with it but i know i clamped everything down real tight.
