ok, yesterday, my fiancee was trying to drive home in a really bad rain storm. it rained somthing like 12" here in just a short time!!! anyhow, im waiting for her to come home so i can make a beer run and i get a call. she stalled in a puddle!!!
anyhow she makes it home thinking that she broke the car and the engine is shot. i proceed to take it around the block to find that you have to shift by 2k rpm, or the engine seems to "stop" (no reving sound, no power, boost gauge flickers between vac and 5 psi just from touching the gas) but never dies!! open the i/c pipes and drain aprox 1.5 gal of water out of the system!!!
on the way to work today half way there its sitll stumbles but then out of no where it fine!!! more power than before!!! almost seems like i steam cleaned the inside of the engine for free and did no damage at all!!!
call it luck, but someone was looking out for me, and im not a very religous person.
is did throw the afm code (31), but after is started to run fine and i cleard the codes it went away. anyone think i should still look into a diffrent afm electronic assembly???
