I took my lower speedohmeter cable out do to since when i drive and the speed needle does'nt move when the vehicle "driving forward"moves.I figured that i need to replace the whole cable, and i've looked on ebay and they don't have one for a 88 n/a.would anybody know where i can get one and could it be a number of things besides the cable that would cause this problem? and i don't want to get it from the dealership do to they will probably want to charge me 500.00 for the dam thing.i was thinking about the junkyard, but if i can find one without putting labor into getting on out,i'd rather just spend the labor on instaling it instead

My lower cable broke and it was $16 from the dealer.
Verify your upper cable is good or bad by hooking a drill up to the upper cable flex shaft, down where you disconnected it. I did this and saw that my speedo read fine, so I knew it was the cheap lower section that needed replacing.

how long is your lower cable, like 9 or 10 inches?
