Speedo cable swapability

Did Toyota ever change the speedo cable from 86.5-92? Or does it stay the same? If I use a 91 turbo 5spd speedo in my 87 turbo 5 spd, will it work flawlessly?

Need to know ASAP so I can fix my problem.

I need a speedo cable for my '88 turbo 5 spd. ne one got a good source to get one? Surpa's are rare where i live and it's hard to come across one on ebay that I would even think about buying.
