either RPS3200lb PP or ACT PP
there a bit pricey, but are one of the best out there IMO.

u can use your stock PP or buy a new one from jay marks from champion toyota with the 4 puck or 6 puck and will work good as well.

i have a stock flywheel resurfaced and HPF bronze 6 puck clutch with ACT PP
got it for 450 form wingman.

go to HPF and check out it out its 750 new, u have the option between RPS 3200lb PP or ACT PP. the 6 puck is VERY streetable as ppl described it. both PP rated @ 600+ TQ

if u get an RPS PP it costs like 600.00 and then a spec 2 or 3 costs like 400+ so your alrdy at like 1000, when it only holds like 460+ tq when for 750$ hpf clutch thats hold 600+ tq... i think u get it...
read up on it.
its a good combo IMO.

rebuildable by HPF for 125 for new pucks.

HPF discs like to weld to aftermarket flywheels, ask Kwante :)
but the 4 puck is going to engage like a freaking on off switch. 6 puck will at least give u a bit of feel. also only go with the sprung hub, ACT hubs are unsprung and ull demolish ur tranny! yes its variable and not everyone will, but most people will destroy the tranny. especially if u drop the clutch

kwante disk was feramic thats the reason why it welded to his ALUMINUM flywheel. if he was using his stock PP flywheel or one that wasn't aluminum i believe it wouldnt of melted and welded togather...

the HPF bronze 6 puck disk is not feramic!!!

ACT hubs are unsprung and ull demolish ur tranny, quoted by you...
is that tru.. or who has demolished there tranny from it...
ive only heard good things about the 2 PP

someone chime in cuz i would like to know cuz i have the act PP

I cant really spend any more than $550. Im just going to get the Spec Stage 3 clutch kit. $470, sounds aight to me, plus there are several people on here with them. Im looking for some super crazy clutch, just something that can hold my cars supposedable 350rwhp.

yea sorry i only said aftermarket, meant to say aluminum. and i couldnt remeber if his disc was feramic or bronze, to be honest i dunno how the brone would act iwth the aluminum flywheel in his situation. i have a ACT pp, and a factory disc and i love it. im only making about 340 rwtq and after about 6 drag passes i can feel it start to slip as it gets hot but i DD mine through winter and then ill put a different disc in for spring race season :)

one person i believe had a Bronze disk with a aluminum flywheel i think fidanza and it ran fine.
2-3 i know of here run the HPF bronze setup with a stock resurfaced flywheel and ran it at 500+ hp and TQ and the use it for drag and street.

im pretty sure kwante had a feramic disk...
sorry for thread bashing....

if your price range is like 500ish, then go for a spec

Its cool, your just giving your honest opinion and you understand that not everyone can afford an $800 clutch.

FYI, the HPF Bronz clutch will weld to a aluminum flywheel too. I have first hand experience. Simple solution, go with the stock flywheel.

As for Spec clutch: I had a Spec 2 and I liked it alot but it was not up to heavy drag racing with sticky tires. Wasn't there a thread a while back about how Spec cluches use a stock (repainted) Toyota pressure plate?

The 2 and 3 is basically a stock PP but i think someone posted that the +2 and +3 i think has a diff PP.
i dont remember.

i was going to go the spec route, but i just don't find that it can hold the power im looking for.

hey MRsupra what PP are u using the ACt or RPS 3200lb.
just wondering how the ride feels for the street, ne complaints?

I use the ACT pressure plate. Its a little bit heavier than stock or the SPEC, but not still not bad at all. It is grabby, and not nearly as smooth as stock, but its still plenty streetable.

Not sure if it's been mentioned, but I just picked up a 12lbs ChroMo flywheel, 6 puck disc, and full clutch kit for $442 shipped from Aimco.

Look for 'XTD Stage 3 Supra' on Ebay. Rated to 460 lbs/ft.
