Sound deadening and insulation

Hey there,

I removed my entire sound system today and I wouldnt have done it if Justin didnt help me. I removed the passenger seat today and thought that I might remove the sound deadening and insulation. What I wanted to know is does removing the sound deadening really make a big difference in noise? Can I remove the insulation also?

i removed mine and you can tell a difference. its not really that bad. but it will remove like 42lbs i think thats what it was. i think its good for lightining the car. and its no noticable to anyone else.yes you can remove the insulation.

in what places are the sound deadening material? From what I know there is some in the passenger and drivers side, is there some under the rear seat? Will I freeze to death in the winter if I remove the insulation?

there is sound deadining all over under the carpet front and rear and hatch area. if you have heat you will be ok. if you are worried about getting cold leave the insulation its ot that heavy anyways.
