something's wrong with my alarm

my alarm works but for some reason it likes to go off by itself only if the doors are locked..if they are locked it just randomly goes off at times and then stops so I don't lock the doors anymore
if they aren't locked no problem not exactly sure what it is or if I have a short somewhere?

Well, it's not going to go off by itself (or otherwise for that matter) unless it has been armed and that happens only when the doors are locked. Try arming the system and lightly smacking around the front of the hood, bottom center of the rear hatch, and along each door to determine which trigger switch is being made. It's probably one of the doors. Likely the driver side.

yeah idk I've tried tapping the outside of the car all over the place that doesn't seem to effect it but if the doors are locked it goes off by itself..and I mean just randomly when nothing is touching it..but if just the drivers side or passenger side is locked it doesn't effect it
ill give it one more tap check though
