Anyone have a 7M alternator they can measure for me? I want to know the distance between the 2 mounting holes and the width of the larger mounting point that gets bolted into the pivoting side.

I want to put a 7M alternator on my 4A but don't know if it will mount up. I've already confirmed the belt and electrical connections are the same. Thanks for the help.

Ok from center of one hole to the center of the other hole is about 6 1/2 inches (kind of had to eyeball it) and the width of the hole that pivots is 2 1/4 inch.

is there any way you could put it on a piece of paper and stick a pen through the holes and mark it or something? Haha. I'm gonna go measure mine, see if it matches up to those numbers though.

Thanks. :)

Also, if you're going back out, maybe you could eyeball the distance from the mounting points to the pulley? Thanks again! :)

From the center of the pulley to the center of the pivoting hole - 3"

From the center of the pulle to the center of the second hole - 3 1/4"

Actually I was curious how far out from the bracket the pulley sits, to see if my belt will line up with it. All the other specs seem to be the same, so I have a feeling that is too. The pulley has the same part number as the one in my Corolla.

You mean like lateral distance from the center of the alternator?

I'm almost positive it will be the same, so no worries if you don't measure it, haha. I looked up some more part numbers and a few more correspond, so I think it should fit fine. I'm gonna pick up a Toyota remanned 80A alt for my AE86. :)

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh yeah, defintiely made more sense looking at it, lol.

From the end of both mounting points to the center of the pulley is - 1 3/4"
