Motor is in the shop now getting hot tanked/milled and i have a ton
of parts just laying around and while i have nothing to do i kinda wanna clean them up.

Not so much polish them just get them there actual color, is there some kind of
solution i can buy from a local store where i can just put it into a bucket and dip
XX part into it? Or any idea what kinda prices are used to have machine shops clean
random parts?

I just dont wanna put dirty parts back on a clean engine...

Ive tried searching google and here but no luck really...

Thanks in advance.

gas or cleaning stuff and a tooth brush or wire brush + elbow grease.

brakes cleaner tho it ruins the finish on alum.

And after it takes the finish off the alum thats when rust starts right?

Is there any parts that i cant or shouldnt dip in the gas?

alum doesnt rust. brake cleaner just oxidizes the finish.

I wouldnt put rubber or plastic things in gas.

Maybe go get some purple power and just spray it on and scrub or dip in gas and scrub.
