:cry: I have a 87 NA auto. So i was on the highway last night with the ECT button on PWR and around 90mph i started to hear this tapping noise and it gets louder when under acceleration. So we pulled over and lift the hood lil bit of smoke coming from the oil dipstick. My cuzin came and look at the car, hes been in this supra scene for the last 7 years and he said that i blew one of the main bearings and one of the rods is about to go. So he jumped in and babied the car half way home when we had to pulled over because it sounded so bad. We were going around 5-10mph and tried not to lose RPM because it would turn off on us. Going up the hills was hard, i was just hoping my baby would make home safely.
We pulled over and it was overheating and the radiator was boiling and the overflow resevoir was spilling out coolant. The car wouldnt start at all so we leave it cooled for a while and when it had started there wouldnt be enough power for it to move up the hill we were at. So, towing was the only answer. Now i just pulled it into my drive way, this happened around 3 in the morning so i havent had much sleep. Now i dont know what to do at all, the car sounds like it would throw a piston through my block:aigo: . Should i keep it and find another motor and swap it in? Or get rid of it, even though it is an NA, it was my first car and my first supra and i want to keep it. I know it has rod knock but i wasnt expecting it to fuk up the bearing now. Now the knock is louder and its killing me just to hear it:cry: .
Right now is 9 in the morning and if my grammar sucks please correct me. I just dont know what to do. I miss it already, i want it to be fine and alive. This is why i hate my previous owner and wish that he had kept the car in good shape like the way i do since the 1st day i got it. Sorry for the rant.....
