smoke?!?!

ok, so i made a huge mistake last night, i let me retarded friend drive my car. It was already warmed up by the time i got to his house, but he ran it prety damn hard, he got it up to 80 pretty quick on a short little straight away, turned around and came back going 80, went up his driveway and turned it off :aigo: before i had a chance to tell him to let it idle. It smelled pretty bad so we lifted up the hood and it was smoking a little bit. Could it have been oil in the turbo? Would that be serious?

It's definately not recommended but I doubt that you coked the inside of that turbo from doing it once. What kind/colour/how much smoke was there?

there wasn't very much, it was kind of dark colored, it was hard to see because it was late, but we had a flashlight.

the turbo still works fine as far as i can tell....

did it have a certain smell? oil, antifreeze?

i cant really tell, mabye oil. It was kinda of like a burning rubber smell. but idk for sure

You probably have an oil leak somewhere...if driving the car like that one time screws something up, then you have problems that need to be addressed.

there must be oil leaking, i looked today and it looks like a little bit of burnt oil on the side of the engine. I checked the oil though and it isnt short at all....so im probably not leaking much

check your valve covers, they might be loose.
