First of all I have been waiting to post in this area ever since I have owned a supra. I want to mod my 1J slightly before the engine goes in. I already have a fuel pump so i was wondering if my 550 injectors from my 7M will fit on 1JZ fuel rail. Also I was wonderin which DP to go with...is HKS good? I've heard stuff about them being restrictive compared to other DPs. also is the Tanabe Hyper medallion worth it. I want a GREAT sounding exhaust and I've heard none compare to tanabe HM. Any other cool simple mods I should do b4 motor goes in? Let me know your input. I CANT FUCKING WAIT TO HAVE THE SUP BACK WITH TWINS!!!

1j injectors are side feed, 7m top feed will not work. you can used jdm 2jz injectors as drop in's, or us 2jz injectors with a 7m resistor pack.
Driftmotion downpipe is what I would recommend...
however, the above mods are things you can do while the engine is in the car, why do them now?
Is this the first time you are putting the 1j in your car? Have you done the basic maintenance? Timing belt, all seals including valve stem, replace any hard or cracked hoses, etc? These are the things that will be hard to change with the engine in.
