Should I replace fuel pump now

Ok, so I will be dropping my gas tank shortly to weld in a patch in the spare tire well. I figured this would be a great time to replace the fuel filter but I am also thinking that it would be a good time to add a Walbro fuel pump for future upgrades as well. However, I know people say not to run the lexus afm without an upgraded fuel pump as it will run too lean. I’m wondering if the reverse is also true, by adding a higher flowing fuel pump would I make the engine run to rich. Should I just do the Lex afm and the Walbro fuel pump on stock injectors now and then upgrade to bigger injectors as needed later? Or should I just replace the fuel filter this time and drop the tank again at a later time to add the pump when it is needed? Thanks for your input on this guys and gals.

When my car had something going wrong I was diagnosing it with changing the fuel pump/filter. I went with the walbro 255LPH from Drift Motion. I was skeptical because I had heard a lot of different things about whether I had to change anything else or not. But once I got the pump and installed it everything worked fine. The link below is my thread that has a lot of different opinions on doing just the pump, but like I said before I changed mine without anything else and it is working fine.
