Well my tail light warning light came on while I was in the middle of a nasty hail storm (damn no damage, that would have been nice to cover my new paint job!)... anyways, I just was wondering how to go about repairing a shorted out tail light? I hear it's a fairly common thing to have go on these cars... While i'm in there I think I will make myself some new rubber gaskets for the lights while i'm at it, stop this kinda junk from happening again lol.

after a little reading it looks like the tail light fuse would take out the rest of my acc lights... so could it just be the bulb is burnt out? it's only one of my tail lights, both turn signals work, and so do my back-up lights...

I had a similar case.. it was the ground connection to the bulb socket at in the tail light.. I took disconnected it, cleaned it up, and now its fine..

I had this problem too. Turned out to be my lamp failure module. I cracked it open to take a look at the board and found it had a cold solder on it and wasn't allowing current to flow out to the taillights. Re-soldered that bad boy and bingo, taillights worked again.
