Setting timing w/ MAFT Pro, Diagnostic Box not adjusting RPMS

I'm trying to use the timing light to adjust my CPS to the proper position. I have double checked to make sure everything to this point is correct. I turn on my car, and jumper E1 and Te1 to adjust timing to the correct mark; however, the diagnostic box when jumpered is not retarding my timing in order to perform Initial Timing. The diagnostic mode is working because my codes read across my dash: codes 24 (intake air). I am running a MAFT in speed density mode with no AFM (GM 3 Bar and AIT). Thanks in advance

MAFT Pro is running latest version and all base settings recommended in Quick start up MKIII guide in MAFT Pro thread. I can post my MAFT settings just to be sure if necessary. Timing is enabled, but I have F-In set to 0 and all Timing settings at 0. Any ideas? I'm not sure where to start.

To add I have code 24 and 22. 22 is water temp sensor signal and 24 is Intake Air Temperature Sensor Signal.

Uh, maybe you should fix the codes first. Until the engine is hot the 22 will cause all sorts of issues...

You're right, I managed to miss the code 22 when I was checking before trying to set timing. I'll take care of the codes first, and see where I'm at.

You need a wideband so the maft pro knows what's going on
Hac mod is very easy and takes a few minutes

Wideband will be here tomorrow hopefully, what are the negatives of not using the HAC mod? I plan on doing it after I get everything else worked out.
