Seat belt problem

I took out the damn seat belts about........... 2 years ago, which was when I started working on the interiors. Now this week, when I'm finally putting everything back in, I noticed that the driver's side belt won't retract so well. In fact, last night I had to pull it back manually.

Also, both of them won't stretch out by pulling them even if, by a way I found to get them out manually, I extend them completely, let them retract a bit, and try to extend them again. There's just no way they will pull out. They were working just fine before I took them out 2 years ago. Since then, I have had them stashed in a cabinet. I only took them out when I went to an upholstery shop when I took them to get their new cloth sowed on with some damn industrial machine.

Is there something I must do? Open it up and grease it (even though it clearly says DO NOT REMOVE)? WD40 somewhere? I really don't wanna have to buy these as well.......

unless someone trades me the front seat belts for my complete rear seat belt set (except the bolts, I keep those :biglaugh:).

If someone wants to know, I sprayed the moving parts with some oil, and used syringe to get some 10W-40 into the Do Not Remove part :D Seems to retract a little better.
