is there any certain order or way to adjust the seat, or is it just a matter of compfort?

driver's ed (forever long ago) said that the arms should be slightly bent while holding the steering wheel, but i was wondering more along the lines of back position and such.

Your knee should be ever-so-slightly bent when you are flooring the accelerator (or clutch). Your wrist should be able to rest on the top of the steering wheel when your back is against the seat (don't forget that the steering wheel telescopes). And your head should be against the headrest.

The lumbar/tilt are just comfort...

Hand position: 9-10 left hand, 2-3 right hand. If your car has airbags, don't wrap your thumbs around the steering wheel (have them point upward instead)

WRONG..... You have to have it adjusted so that you can lean back and to the right comfortably resting your left rist on the steering wheel and you chin resting on your right hand.. and if people can see more than the top half of your head outside the car, you are doing it wrong. and remember that when you are driving you ALWAYS HAVE SOMETHING TO PROVE!.... bitches aint shit bro.

for racing, your back needs to be straight incase of crash not to break your backbones (sorry, my english in anatomy is very poor). In other words u should sit like women do - no comfort ;)

that's like asking which side mirror should i adjust first, or should I start with the rearview mirror? If you are comfortable, able to see out all the windows, and able to reach all the controls easily, you are doing it right
