A friend of mine found a 1997 Supra on autotrader. Basic rundown, 134k miles, body kit, new stock paint, stock TT motor, listed price is 5,000 dollars, car is located in Virginia(we are in Maryland). He emails the owner, who takes a week or so to get back to him. Turns out the guy lives in England.
Sound like a scam to anyone else? The car is no longer on Autotrader, but I was on there a few minutes ago and the average price for any MKIV within 200miles of my zip was $29k.

Thats what I said as soon as he told me the price. Then today he tells me the seller is in England and I said 100% scam.

A guess there is a small part in some peoples minds that what if it is the <1% chance that it might be legit. Yah right.:naughty:

Yeah, there was one listed in Oregon not far from where I live for around $6000 so I e-mailed the guy just for kicks, since I knew it was a scam. He said the car was actually in Florida (then why is it listed in Oregon moron?) and then I couldn't look at it but had to pay for shipping and he was actually in England. I teased him for a few e-mails then just called him out. Never heard from him again...
