S3 Short Shifter?

I looked in the parts review, and since we were wiped out, there's nothing there on this. Anyone had experience with this short shifter? Some people say that the short shifters suck and they miss more shifts, but I have my own reasons for wanting this kit.
Also.. is the lead time great? I don't want to have to wait 3 months after I order it for receipt.

I bought mine when they were first produced and it's a high quality part...at least back then. It's pretty much stock height but the throw is much shorter. I actually forgot I had one till I saw this post. :sonic:

I have one of these. It's sweet. There's rather less isolation between the knob and tranny, so you can feel the shift, but I don't think that's a problem. I think the new ones have more isolation than my older one.

Installation was quite easy. Yup, stock height, but the throw is half of stock. I have no problem with missing shifts any more than before...

Since I bought mine over 2 years ago, I can't answer to lead time.
